Optomap Retinal Exams in Colchester

What is an Optomap retinal exam? The Optomap retinal exam is a ultra-widefield photo of the back of the eye that gives your doctor a more detailed and stable view of your eye health.

Why do I need this?  By the time most eye diseases begin to affect your vision, it's too late. These conditions can be seen, BEFORE you  notice them in your vision, with a thorough dilated eye exam in conjunction with the optomap retinal exam.

The photo will also give you the opportunity to view and discuss any eye health issues with your doctor. This is a chance for you to see what your doctor sees when he/she does their exam.

The Optomap retinal photo also creates a picture to put in your record that your doctor can use to compare any future changes in your retinal health

Our doctors strongly recommend the Optomap® Retinal Exam as a fast, non-invasive, but essential part of our eye exams.
