Dr. Sadanowicz

Dr. Alexandra (Ola) Sadanowicz graduated from Loomis Chaffee School and went on to study Biology and Creative Writing in Waterville, ME and graduated cum laude in 2008.  She continued her education after college at the New England College of Optometry in Boston, and graduated as a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa honors society. Winner of the Marchon Eyewear Award for Excellence in Practice Management, Dr. Sadanowicz furthered her interest in geriatrics, ocular disease, and primary care by doing a residency at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Newington, CT, where she was honored to serve our Veteran population.  During the course of this residency, Dr. Sadanowicz gained significant experience in the treatment and co-management of macular degeneration, glaucoma, ocular trauma, inflammatory eye diseases, diabetic retinopathy, and cataracts.

Both during her education and after graduating, Dr. Sadanowicz has worked in several pediatric and specialty practices and loves working not only with children of all ages but also those with special needs.  Dr. Sadanowicz is an Advanced Care Certified Optometrist, CPR certified, and a member of the Connecticut Association of Optometrists as well as the American Optometric Society.  Dr. Sadanowicz grew up locally in Bolton, CT and is fluent in the Polish language.  Dr. Sadanowicz sees patients at both Colchester and Hebron Eye Care.

"One of my favorite things about working at Hebron and Colchester Eye Care is how we take a really personal approach to eye care.  We are treating the patient as a whole person rather than just a set of eyes. The pace that we keep in our office allows me to address the whole range of concerns that a patient has, rather than just one specific thing at a time. I also love how this office really functions like a whole family rather than a workplace. Everyone comes to work happy to be here, and you can really tell."

When not working, Dr. Ola enjoys skiing, snowshoeing, canoeing/kayaking, learning to surf, traveling, reading novels, and quilting.
